Find Morgan County Released Inmates

Finding Morgan County released inmates starts with the agency that held the person, since the county does not operate its own jail. A Morgan County released inmate may have left a receiving county jail, a Utah state prison, or another government custodian. Each route creates a different release record. To search for Morgan County released inmates, first identify the custodial agency, then match its status with court, corrections, or supervision records. That process separates a completed release from a transfer, a roster update, or a move into another form of custody.

Morgan County Release Paths

Morgan County has no jail beds. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office makes an arrest or starts a commitment, but a receiving agency may hold and release the person. Weber County Correctional Facility is the best-supported primary jail. Davis County Correctional Facility is another documented destination for Morgan jail sentences. A prison sentence moves the case into Utah Department of Corrections custody. This split means a single Morgan County release can leave records with the arresting sheriff, a receiving sheriff, the court, and, in a prison case, UDC.

Release is a custody event, while discharge is the end of legal authority. A person may leave a jail on bond, recognizance, time served, dismissal, acquittal, probation, or transfer. Parole follows a prison release under Board and Adult Probation and Parole authority. A transfer to UDC, another jail, federal custody, or ICE is not freedom in the community. The disposition field and the receiving agency matter more than a missing roster name.

Release
A completed departure from one custodian, which may still lead to supervision or another agency.
Parole
Community release from prison while Board authority continues.
Probation
A court-ordered community sentence that may follow jail time.
Discharge
Expiration or termination of the sentence or supervision authority.

Morgan County Release Types

The right record depends on why custody ended. A court order may authorize release, but the jail must still process it and check for other holds. Likewise, a prison parole order sets a legal path that UDC must carry out. Use both the authorizing document and the custodian's dated release entry when the exact outcome matters.

Morgan County Release Record Fields

A focused booking-and-release record ties a person to a Morgan arrest and a specific custodian. Ask for the status-code legend too. Codes such as transfer, bond, court order, or sentence completion should not be guessed from abbreviations. Some fields can be withheld or redacted when they involve an active investigation, security, medical facts, victims, juveniles, or sealed material.

FieldWhat it shows
Booked name and aliasesThe identity used by the custodial system
Booking numberThe transaction that links admission and departure
Originating agencyWhether Morgan County initiated the matter
Admission date and timeWhen the receiving jail accepted custody
Charges, case, bond, and holdsThe public legal fields associated with custody
Release date and timeWhen the custodian completed the departure
Release authority or typeBond, court order, time served, transfer, or another coded result
Transfer destinationThe next agency when that field is public

A roster removal is not a release record. It lacks the dated event and disposition needed to separate community release from transfer.

Who Holds Morgan Release Records?

Morgan County keeps the records it created, such as an incident, arrest, transport, or temporary-hold entry. Under the Morgan-Weber prisoner agreement, Weber takes full custodial control of accepted Morgan prisoners. Weber is therefore the proper source for its admission, custody, property, and completed release fields. Davis holds those facts when Davis was the receiving jail. A court owns its orders and docket, UDC owns prison and parole-location data, and the Board owns its decisions.

Start with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office if the destination is unknown. Ask which facility received the person and which office processed release. Then send a narrow request to that custodian. Requests to both Morgan and Weber make sense only when the desired facts span the original arrest and the later jail transaction.

Request Morgan County Release Records

Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act, called GRAMA, provides the request framework. A written request identifies the requester and describes the record with reasonable detail. For a non-expedited request, current law generally calls for a response as soon as reasonably possible and no later than ten business days, subject to statutory exceptions. A response may grant access, deny classified material with appeal information, seek clarification, or cite extraordinary circumstances.

  1. Confirm whether Weber, Davis, Morgan, UDC, or the Board owns the fact.
  2. Give the full booked name, aliases, date of birth if known, and a narrow date range.
  3. Ask for the booking number, admission and release times, disposition, authority, and public transfer destination.
  4. Request electronic delivery and a cost estimate before fees pass a chosen limit.
  5. Keep the request, response, dates, and any classification or appeal notice.

The Weber Records Bureau accepts electronic requests through NextRequest and gives written or in-person options at 1400 Depot Drive in Ogden. Its researched schedule listed $15 for a GRAMA response up to 30 pages, $0.50 for each added page, and possible staff charges. It may seek prepayment above $50. Fees can change, so the live page controls. Records is reached at 801-778-6661 and GRAMA at 801-778-6653, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Morgan Release Records and Expungement

GRAMA does not make every field public. Utah records may be public, private, controlled, or protected. Agencies may redact a protected part while providing a segregable public portion. Juvenile matters, active investigative facts, security details, medical information, and victim information can have access limits. A denial should state its legal basis and the appeal route.

Sealed and expunged cases are removed from public Xchange results. Utah courts began identifying cases that qualify for the automatic-expungement process in 2026, and the court says there is no request form to make that identification happen. Once a valid order is entered and distributed, government repositories follow the Expungement Act. A blank public search does not prove that no case ever existed. The subject or an authorized person should use the official court process.

Booking images have a separate rule. Effective July 1, 2026, Utah Code §63G-2-305(80) generally protects a jail-booking image unless a listed exception applies. Release alone is not an exception. A custodian must classify a photo request under current law.

Morgan County publishes no online jail-record retention period because it publishes no roster. The underlying government record can outlast an operational display, subject to the custodian's approved schedule, legal holds, and classification rules. Ask the records officer to identify the schedule if age or planned destruction matters. UDC's live search is also not a complete discharge archive. After full sentence termination, use Board decisions, the court docket, or a focused UDC records request.

When Morgan Jail Releases Begin

Morgan has no local release desk, so the custodial jail sets the process. When Weber is confirmed, its Booking and Release page separates three paths. Bail releases are processed as soon as possible. Court-ordered releases begin at about 5 p.m. Sentence-completion releases begin around 9 a.m. on the completion date.

Those times are starting points, not promised exits. Staff must receive and verify legal papers, check other holds, and complete property and administrative work. A person can also be moved to another custodian. Call Weber at 801-778-6700 for immediate routing, then obtain the dated record if written proof is needed.

Morgan Pretrial Release Is Not Discharge

The Weber-Morgan justice plan describes a judge reviewing probable cause and a Public Safety Assessment before retaining a person or selecting one of six pretrial-supervision levels. A phone application can support check-ins and court reminders. This is why a Morgan pretrial release should not be labeled time served, dismissal, or final discharge. Custody may end while the court case and release conditions remain active.

Check the court order for the authorized terms, then check the receiving jail record for completion. A pending Morgan case may appear through MyCase for an eligible party, Xchange for public district and justice court material, or a courthouse terminal. The release event and court status answer different questions.

Find Morgan County Released Inmates

A named-person search begins with custody type, not a broad current roster. Morgan's sheriff page has no name search. Weber and Davis show current custody only. UDC covers people under state corrections authority. Federal and immigration systems cover their own populations. Use identity details such as a full name, date of birth, booking number, offender number, case number, or federal identifier to avoid a false match.

  1. Ask Morgan County which jail or agency received the person.
  2. Check the confirmed jail's current roster only to see whether the person is still shown.
  3. If the name is gone, call the jail and request the dated booking-and-release transaction.
  4. For a prison sentence, search UDC and the Board's hearing and decision records.
  5. Compare the court order, VINE event, or federal record with the custodian's final status.
  6. Use a targeted records request when the needed historical fact is not online.

The Morgan County 24-Hour Releases page addresses a same-day list request. The steps here are for one known person and remain useful long after any short online window would close.

Morgan County Has No Release Feed

Morgan publishes no jail roster because it has no jail. Weber and Davis each publish a current-only list, but neither offers a rolling 24-hour or 72-hour released view. Weber also warns that its web page is “not an official Inmate Roster.” Its list and detail lack a release timestamp, release reason, released-history filter, and booking image. Davis likewise omits a public released-person view.

Do not create a release list by comparing two roster snapshots. A missing name could reflect transfer, correction, or another agency's custody. For a time window, ask the confirmed jail for a release log with exact start and end points, Morgan originating agency or case, timestamps, and public dispositions. State the time zone. A three-day request should spell out the full weekend or holiday interval.

Morgan Release Records in Court

Morgan's court trail is split by jurisdiction. Second District Court handles adult felonies and Class A misdemeanors. Morgan Justice Court handles lower-level matters within its authority. A court docket may preserve bail, dismissal, judgment, sentence, commitment, and later case events after a current roster entry disappears. Yet an order authorizing release does not prove the jail completed it.

The Xchange coverage record reports complete Morgan district-court coverage for cases filed from October 14, 1997. Older converted records may be incomplete. Use the courthouse for an older case or a record that the online system does not show. Second District routing is available at 385-350-9170 and 2ndmorganteam@utcourts.gov. Morgan Justice Court can be reached at 801-845-4021.

Morgan Release Supervision and Reentry

Parole and probation do not mean the same thing. Parole follows a prison term under Board authority. Probation is ordered by a court. UDC Adult Probation and Parole administers field supervision, and the relevant Ogden office is at 2540 Washington Boulevard, fifth floor, with phone 801-626-3700. Verify the assigned office because supervision follows the case assignment.

Weber Reentry Success Services matters because Weber holds Morgan prisoners. Its public Community Reentry Fair runs Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m., except federal holidays, at 2540 Washington Boulevard. A Thursday pre-release fair serves residents within seven days of scheduled release. The local justice plan says coordinators may follow clients for up to 90 days after release. Support may address identification, transportation, peer support, and continuity of care. Official eligibility and arrangements come from the program. More detail on active status belongs in the Morgan post-release supervision record.

Morgan Release ID and Property

The custodial location controls practical release advice. Weber's reentry material recognizes identification and transportation needs. Those services do not prove release or supervision status, but they can help a person plan for the first days after departure. Confirm Weber held the person before relying on its program route.

If Davis was the confirmed jail, its after-departure rules say released mail is held for pickup for 30 days and then destroyed. Property left after a transfer is disposed of after 30 days if unclaimed, while keys are handled separately. Do not send someone to Davis for property until its custody role is confirmed. A transfer record should also name the next custodian when that field is public.

Morgan State Release Day Rides

State-prison logistics are distinct from local bond release. The UDC Release Day instructions say scheduled prison releases and paroles are generally processed on Tuesdays at the Utah State Correctional Facility release building. Support people for USCF and CUCF placements arrive at 9 a.m. Those meeting a UDC client held in a county jail arrive at 10 a.m. UDC advises allowing one to four hours.

When a released client has no ride, UDC staff or volunteers may provide transport to a nearby UTA TRAX station. People without rides leave last. These details apply to a UDC release, not a Morgan County bond-out or ordinary receiving-jail release. Confirm the UDC date and type before anyone travels.

Morgan Release Alerts and Federal Records

Utah VINE provides custody information and release or transfer alerts for participating feeds. Search the right person and agency, then register through the channels offered on that record. VINE is a notification service, not the certified release sheet, and data can lag. Confirm a county release with Morgan and the receiving sheriff. Confirm a prison release with UDC and the Board.

The BOP Inmate Locator covers many people released from federal custody since 1982 and may retain a federal release date and status. It does not verify Morgan jail release. U.S. Marshals pretrial placements may not appear as BOP custody, so use the federal docket and known facility. ICE's Online Detainee Locator is a current-location tool, not a release archive. A local departure under an immigration detainer may be a transfer into ICE custody, and no ICE result proves no single outcome.

Morgan County Release Facilities

Morgan's zero-bed status defines the facility map. Weber's 12th Street intake jail opened in summer 2000 and handles bookings. Kiesel, built in 1983 and expanded in 1990, later shifted toward work release, weekend, community service, and other post-sentence programs. A move between those Weber sites is not automatic community release. Davis is the alternate receiving jail documented for Morgan jail sentences. USCF and CUCF are state prisons serving statewide UDC cases.

  • Weber County Correctional Facility: primary receiving jail and Weber release-record route.
  • Kiesel Facility: Weber work-release and post-sentence program site.
  • Davis County Correctional Facility: alternate receiving jail after custody is confirmed.
  • Utah State Correctional Facility: main UDC release-processing point.
  • Central Utah Correctional Facility: Gunnison prison using the statewide UDC and Board path.

There is no separate federal prison or ICE detention facility in Morgan County. Federal or immigration movement must be traced through the receiving government system.
